- Technical Superintendant Mackenzie Stuart is working with a leading international Oil & Gas Drilling Contractor. The organization has an expanding fleet of rigs to meet their clients offshore needs around the world. The company is one of the longest established independent drilling contractors in the industry leading to a very respected reputation and a strong client base of renowned drilling operators. We are recruiting a Technical Superintendant to be based in the onshore office in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the offshore maintenance and technical support of an accommodation unit. You will be responsible for a number of duties including: -Dealing with clients and internal teams. -Producing technical reports. -Ensuring operational safety of unit. -Ensuring Statutory Regulatory compliance of unit. -Ensure operational cost parameters are adhered to. -Ensure that offshore maintenance is timely and professionally executed in accordance with maintenance systems from the onshore base -Assist as necessary with planning and execution of upgrades and modifications -Assist in planning budgets for repair and maintenance and perform technical inspection/Audits of the drilling units. -Verify that all modifications and repairs of the vessels are planned and executed in a safe manner without jeopardizing safety and health of personnel and safety of rig and environment. -Offer assistance in planning budgets for repair and maintenance of the rig vessels To be considered for this role candidates will: -Have previous experience of working in a similar position and level of responsibility, as well as an in-depth working knowledge of Marine, Technical and Drilling systems. -Have strong communication and people management skills and should be used to working in an analytical and systematic environment. -Have a strong level of English, both written and oral and be eligible to work in the UK -Be degree educated in engineering; preferably Mechanical but Electronic and Naval Architecture will be considered. -Have practical experience in marine engineering. -Be willing to travel and spend periods offshore. Package: In return you will receive a basic salary of £80k £90k + pension + health.
