- Global Oil and Gas Service Company requires an Offshore Document Controller on a contract basis.
Purpose:
Required to control the flow of all project documentation an drawings received and produced offshore - both design and vendor - in accordance with project procedures.
To receive, copy and distribute all project documents - in accordance to the required distribution and to the agreed timescale.
To ensure all priority one documentation is kept as controlled documents - eg P&ID's, Cause & Effects - as per project procedure.
To allocate and control the numbering of documents and drawings produced on the project
Provide assistance and support in the completion of documentation requests and searches for any Offshore personnel.
To be proficient in all of the document management systems to ensure search, view, print capability and to be able to check the latest revisions of documentation.
Responsible for transmitting handover documentation to onshore DCC Lead as per Offshore transmittal work instruction.
Maintain Offshore Registers of Concession Requests, Engineering Queries etc.
Ensure the timely issue and return/resolution of query documents ie Engineering Queries, Corrective Actions etc (as applicable#.
Maintain a central project filing system for both technical and non-technical data.
Manage the documentation flow for compilation of Certification/Verification/Fabrication dossiers between offshore and onshore.
Attend relevant progress meetings to ensure awareness of documentation status and all planned activities.
Qualifications - Essential:
Educated to Standard Grade level #pref to include Technical/Engineering, English, Science, Maths)
Qualifications - Desirable
Information Management or Librarian or Computer qualifications
Experience - Essential
Experienced in working in an engineering project group or document management centre
Capable of processing both Design & Vendor project documents
Experienced in use of electronic document management systems
Good understanding of working to procedures and project deadlines
Experience - Desirable
Supervisory skills
