Location: Aberdeen, Cove Bay, Cloverhill, Balmedie, Hatton, Kemnay, Peterhead, Bucksburn

Rate: £22,000 - £24,000 (Temp - Perm)

Powered access is a generic name given to machines that enable people to work safely and efficiently at height. Some of the other terms that are used are mobile elevating work platforms, aerial platforms, cherry pickers and flying carpets.

Description

We require an experienced Workshop Service Engineer to join our team at our Aberdeen Depot. Previous experience of servicing plant, mechanical and electro/hydraulic systems is required.

Carry out pre-delivery inspection (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot as required, and in conformance with manufacturers specification, company policy and the regulations affecting the use. Ensure that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine. Notify appropriate mentor/ supervisor / manager of any defective or unsafe equipment.
Repair machines at depot or on site as required to ensure conformance with manufacturers specification and company policy
To complete planned maintenance activities including maintaining the appearance of the fleet to corporate standard.
Handover machines to customers and familiarise customers with safe machine operation in accordance with company procedures.
Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and being polite at all times. Relay appropriate customer queries to depot staff as required
Accurately complete all relevant paperwork including engineers report, off hire / pre-delivery inspection and service sheets.
Update Result 2000 system on machine status change i.e. PDI carried out, Machine under repair, ACE Inspection completed.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification and have experience gained within the Power Access Industry or a busy transport environment.
You will have experience in Plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, diagnostic fault finding lifting equipment and servicing HGVs.
You will have a mature outlook and have the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
Good interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of excellent customer service are a pre-requisite
Clean Drivers License.
